About the Role

Reporting to the Billing Manager and designated Senior GAA, the Group Accounts Assistant will assist with a wide range of client accounting matters.

 

Primary responsibilities are to:

  • Generate prebills on a monthly basis. This consists of editing narratives, transferring costs and fees, write downs and any other changes required by the relevant attorney to create a draft or final bill. Work with lawyers and partners to ensure changes are correct
  • Generate draft bills based on instructions from billing attorney/partners and coordinators making any other corrections from billing attorney
  • Generate final bills after approval from billing attorney / partner. Determine whether bill is ebilled or mailed to client. Submit ebills to the ebilling team to submit to client portal
  • Ensure bills are in compliance with the relevant client special billing arrangement
  • Working closely with the Senior GAA in assisting with WIP review and other billing related matter
  • Potential development and responsibility of some billing coordinator work, inclusive of but not limited to, matter credit maintenance and client refunds, BE WIP management, and special projects

 

EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma with 5 years' work experience in a similar environment
  • Proficiency in MS applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to deliver on schedule
  • An interest in the legal and financial services industry
